Yoga Trek Nepal 2019
Led by head guide Nawaraj Pandey with Andrea Duffin, from the Yoga Mill in Scotland this trek perfectly blends trekking through the the invigorating external Himalayan landscape with developing our knowledge of our internal landscape with Hatha yoga and spiritual meditation.
It’s suitable for all level of yoga practitioners. The trek can be challenging at times so to get the most out of it we would recommend incorporating some training into your daily routine. For an example daily schedule check out the flyer at the bottom of this page.

September 17: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m).You will need to arrive in Kathmandu no later than 17th as trekking starts tomorrow! You will be met on arrival by our English speaking guide and taken to your hotel. We can either brief you about the upcoming trip on arrival at the hotel or later in the evening. Good chance to get shopping in the bustling bazaars of Thamel and eat some delicious food in the fabulous restaurants. Hotel included in trek package, breakfast at the hotel before we set off on 18th.
September 18: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1550m). Travelling by jeep through scenic landscape and glimpsing Ganesh Himal. (B/L/D)
September 19: Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2380m) via Sherpa Gaon. Around 5 hours of trekking. Crossing the Bhote Koshi river and following the Langtang Khola through Bamboo to the Lama Hotel. (B/L/D)
September 20: Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley (3430m). Around 5 hours of trekking. The trail climbs steadily through the beautiful valley. One of the oldest villages on the trekking route Langtang has spectacular scenery. Rest at Mundu. (B/L/D)
September 21: Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa (3830m). Around 4 hours of walking. A great day for exploring and possibility to climb several small peaks. (B/L/D)
September 22: Hike to KyanjinRi (4773m) or TserkoRi (4984m), Back to KyangjinGompa (3870m). Continuing exploring this beautiful area today. Visits to the monastery and cheese factory are very popular. As is a walk up the moraineto see the magnificent glaciers. Kyangjin, the highest peak of this trek (4350m) could be ascended from here. This day can be used for rest and acclimatisation also. (B/L/D)
September 23: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2380m). Around 6 hours to get back to the Lama Hotel. (B/L/D)
September 24: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2100m). 5-6 hours trek. (B/L/D)
September 25: Trek to Sing Gompa (3100m). 3-4 hours trek. (B/L/D)
September 26: Trek to Gosaikunda (4370m). 5-6 hours trek. (B/L/D)
September 27: This in an intentional free day to allow for flexibility in the programme. (B/L/D)
September 28: Trek to Dunche (1950m).6-7 hours trek. (B/L/D).
September 29: Drive by jeep to the Homestay in the traditional village of Suryamati. Walk from the long bridge, approx 1 hour. Time for relaxation and experience traditional Nepali village life. (B/L/D)
September 30th: Evening fire, time for celebration and thanks. Giving of certificates. (B/L/D)
October 1st: Leave village around 11am, walk to Long Bridge, drive by jeep to Kathmandu, approx 3 hours (B/L)
You are free this evening to make your own arrangements to eat in one of the many wonderful establishments in Kathmandu. Hotel accommodation provided which includes breakfast on the 2nd.
