The Langtang trek takes in the Langtang National Park and some of the most beautiful nature Nepal has to offer.  The valley runs east-west and is home to some interesting animals and birds.  Monkeys, Musk Deer, Pika and the national bird of Nepal, the Danphe can all be found here.  The trek can begin at either Dhunche or Syabrubesi.  Our example Langtang guided trek begins at Syabrubesi.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m). You will be met on arrival by our English speaking guide and taken to your hotel.  We can either brief you about the upcoming trip on arrival at the hotel or later in the evening.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1550m). On a bus this takes 8 hours.  Driving through scenic foothills and catching views of the Ganesh Himal.

Day 3: Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2380m) via Sherpa Gaon. Around 5 hours of trekking.  Crossing the Bhote Koshi river and following the Langtang Khola through Bamboo to the Lama Hotel.

Day 4: Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley (3430m). Around 5 hours of trekking. The trail climbs steadily through the beautiful valley.  One of the oldest villages on the trekking route Langtang has spectacular scenery.

Day 5: Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa (3830m). Around 4 hours of walking. A great day for exploring and possibility to climb several small peaks. 

Day 6: Hike to KyanjinRi (4773m) or TserkoRi (4984m), Back to KyangjinGompa (3870m). Continuing exploring this beautiful area today.  Visits to the monastery and cheese factory are very popular. As is a walk up the moraineto see the magnificent glaciers.  Kyangjin, the highest peak of this trek (4350m) could be ascended from here.

Day 7: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2380m). Around 6 hours to get back to the Lama Hotel.

Day 8: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1550m). 5 hours trekking today.

Day 9: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu (1300m). We’ll take you to your hotel and you can decide if you want rest or entertainment. We are happy to do whatever you want.

Option A...Days 9, 10, 11: Nuwakot village stay. Tented accommodation, campfire cooking, experience village life under Himalaya skies. Perfect way to chill out after physical and mental challenge of high altitude trekking. 3 days is $210.

Option B... Days 9, 10, 11: Sightseeing. We can arrange any day excursion in and around Kathmandu.  Historical and cultural tours can be arranged with our local guides. Rest, relaxation and cultural experience days in Kathmandu. 

 We will take you to the airport and ensure that you leave Nepal safely, with the experience of a life time safe in your heart.
