The 3 High Pass trek takes you to the heart of the Himalayan range incorporating a visit to Everest Base Camp and see the amazing beauty of the Khumbu Region. A challenging route crossing three high altitude passes. Taking in parts of stages of the EBT the 3 High Pass Trek diverges from the EBC but diverges after Namache. Take in amazing views from Gokyo Ri and Renjo La . See Everest, Cholatse, Pokalde, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu and Ama Dablam. Cross the valley of the Niyang Khola and follow the traditional descent back to Lukla via Tengboche and Namche Bazaar.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m) You will be met on arrival by our English speaking guide and taken to your hotel. We can either brief you about the upcoming trip on arrival at the hotel or later in the evening.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing. We can arrange any day excursion in and around Kathmandu. Historical and cultural tours can be arranged with our local guides.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m). Flight 35 minutes, Trek to Phakding (2610m) Short flight from Lukla followed by about 4 hours of trekking. A relatively easy trek through Chaurikharka village and descent towards Dudhkoshi Ghat (2,530m/8,300ft). The trail follows the bank of the Dudhkoshi River until Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft), where we will stay for the night to acclimatise.
Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m). 10-12 km of trekking, which will take approximately 6 hours. Rivers and bridges followed by a tough climb on this stage. First glimpse of Everest when we reach Namche Bazaar.
Day 5: Hike to Khumjung (3780m) and Khunde (3840m) village. A great way to acclimatise, the hike through the Sherpa villages of Khumjung and Khunde can take around half a day especially if you leave your backpack at the guest house! Views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam.
Day 6: Namche Bazaar to Thame (3820m) about 10km. Leads through the valley of Bhote Khosi to the Renjo La Pass. Thame is a traditional village, peaceful with excellent views of the mountains and forest.
Day 7: Thame to Lungdeng (4368m) via Marlung.
Day 8: Lungdeng to Gokyo (4790m) via Renjo La (5360m). Todays trekking has gentle slopes and steep hills. Beautiful views at the top: Tengi Ragi Tau, Rolwaling Himal and the small Rermo Pokhari Lake to the west and Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and the Gokyo lakes to the east.Via the Dudh Pokhari lakes; we descend pleasantly through meadows towards the Bhote Khosi valley to continue along the river. Possible to meet some yak caravans along this stage of the trek.
Day 9: Hike to Gokyo Ri (5360m).
Day 10: Gokyo to Thangna (4700m). Around 6 hours walking along the Ngozumpa Glacier. Great views of Cho Oyu and Gokyo Ri.
Day 11: Thangna to Dzongla (4830m) via Cho La (5350m). Around 8 hours of difficult walking across the Cho La pass today. Great views of Ama Dablam (6812m).
Day 12: Dzongla to Lobuche (4910m) 5 hours of trekking today. Descend from Dzongla to Lobuche and connect with the EBC route. Fantastic views of Loubuche Peak, Ama Dablam, Kangtega and Thamserku.
Day 13: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5140m). Hike to EBC (5364m) 15Km of walking today, which will take around 8 hours. Destination EBC is made today! It starts relatively easy with the trek to Gorakshep. The stage to EBC is straighter, uneven, and a tough trek over glacial moraine. We will pass glaciers such as Khumba Glacier and experience beautiful scenery near the top of the world. Before sunset we will descend to Gorekshep.
Day 14: Gorekshep to Kalapattar (5545m). Trek to Lobuche (4910m) 13km trekking, will take around 6 hours. We will rise and walk to Black Rock (Kalapathar) to watch the sunrise over Everest and its neighbouring peaks of Nuptse Nup, Changtse and Lhotse. Then back to Gorekshep for breakfast and descend to Lobuche.
Day 15: Lobuche to Chukung (4730m) via Kongma La (5535m). 7 Hours of trekking today across moraines and Glaciers. Valley views across Cholatse, Pokalde, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu and Ama Dablam.
Day 16: Hike to ChukungRi (5550m).
Day 17: Chukung to Tengboche (3865m). 6 hours of walking.
Day 18: Tyangboche to Manjoo (3440m) via Namche. 8 hours of trekking, mainly downhill, with one big uphill along the way.
Day 19: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m). 16km trekking, around 7 hours over bridges and through villages.
Day 20: Lukla to Kathmandu (1300m) Flight 35 minutes. We’ll take you to your hotel and you can decide if you want rest or entertainment. We are happy to do whatever you want.
Option A...Days 20,21 and 22: Nuwakot village stay. Tented accommodation, campfire cooking, experience village life under Himalaya skies. Perfect way to chill out after physical and mental challenge of trekking. Additional $210
