Feeling in need of some local culture and freedom from the build we decided to go for a ride...Leaving behind the house and the builders we took the bike along a jungle track. We rode through scrub, brushed by flowers, and wove through trees.  Chattering birds and fat monkeys, lazy with stolen fruit, filled the air with jungle sounds.  Occasional butterflies brightly fluttered by and we made our way up a dusty slope to the top of the hill.  Pausing to take in the views of Kabilas Hill and Langtang mountains we enjoyed the peace of the summit before heading along.  Through the village, past the school, houses and a temple, admiring goats and buffalo, we rode until we reached Niranjana Temple.

At the base of the hill we stopped to drink the beauty of the landscape. Quenched, we walked, and occasionally tripped, up the uneven steps to pay our respects at the statue of Ganesh. The atmosphere was as exotic and alluring as the landscape, purple, yellow, and pink powders dusted tops of rocks and statues, bells in the trees rang as we made our ascent...
